I've never had a designer before. What can I expect?

Expect professional results and a room you love and enjoy. I design for you: your tastes, your needs, your functionality. You remain in complete control. Detailed planning and professional presentations help you know exactly what to expect.

How long will my project take?

My part of the project generally doesn't take too long. I design the overall scope of your interior. I source materials and finishes, select paint colors, find your furnishings, etc. With this master plan in hand, you can either purchase items at your leisure, or leave that to me. Regardless, you will have a plan of action. I leave finding the right contractor, painter, and other vendors to you (though I certainly have suggestions). My motto: make the plan, work the plan!

How do I know how much to budget?

It is a good idea to have a general budget in mind. Beyond that, I can assist you in breaking down your project's costs at project onset. I do not max out your budget, but ensure that you are getting the most bang for your buck.

Can I be sure I'll like the finished look?

I'm a great listener and ask a lot of questions. I'll present ideas to you and make necessary changes. You'll get to see your design plus get to feel and experience fabric, tile, etc. before purchasing. The many resources and technologies I employ alleviate the guesswork. 

I like the idea of drapes, but don't want them to obstruct my view.

Neither do I. Allow me to sketch a design for window treatments that are functional and beautiful. Let's maximize the view and add height, drama and  softness to your room.

Some items in my room need to stay. Is that a problem?

Not at all. I can work with the items you tell me must stay. If you are on the fence about an item, I can offer my professional opinion.

Are you able to keep things pet friendly?

Yes. I understand that pets are part of the family. I choose functional pieces and pet-friendly fabrics that clean easily with bleach and water! I keep pet necessities neatly organized in your home.

I'm building a new home. Can you help us with selections?

Yes, I can work with you and your builder and assist you in picking out a cohesive design that you will cherish. Roof, windows, front doors, flooring, carpet, tile, mirrors, door handles...there are over 160+ decisions that go into building a new home and I can help you with all of them.
