Even Your Weakness is Anointed

Today in my Bible reading I read something cool in 2 Samuel 3:39: David says, "Though I am the anointed king, I am weak." That's right folks. David, just like us, had insecurities...a little bit of imposter's syndrome if you will. So if you are looking at your house thinking, "I can't redecorate, I'm no good." Or looking at your rebellious teenager thinking, "I'm a horrible parent." Or if you think you are a flop and have no skills to offer others...it's all good. The Holy Spirit comes in and anoints our weaknesses! Yep. You read that right. Turns out you don't have to have it all together. You just have to lay it before the Lord and ask him to help you.
Think about it: David was a warrior. He was tough, accomplished and had so much going for him. He embedded a stone deep in Goliath's forehead (which by the way was my little brother's, and I'm guessing every other little boy's FAVORITE Bible story simply for the gore factor). But when the crown is placed on David's head, he encounters a "Jesus-take-the-wheel moment." God had ALWAYS proven himself faithful and David had no problem giving his utter weakness to his Holy Father. May we be inspired to do the same. Imposter's syndrome: meet your match. His name is Jesus and he anoints even our weaknesses!
