Flooring ideas for 2019 are creative and functional.

Medium-tone hardwoods are increasingly popular for 2019

For 2019, medium-tone wood floors will be gaining in popularity. Super light and super dark hardwoods have reigned supreme for over a decade. Today's warm, medium-tone hardwoods provide a nice complement to white and gray colors, which remain the most popular paint choices for both walls and cabinetry. Furthermore, the farmhouse style continues to increase in popularity and these medium-tone hardwoods make an extraordinary pairing with that style.

Forget everything you think you know about vinyl flooring because it's back and it's better than ever. Its texture can even closely resemble hand-scraped barn wood. In fact, as I was unwrapping this sample, I thought it was an exotic hardwood. It wasn't until I handled the piece from underneath that I was finally clued in!
